I am originally from the Ozark Mountains of Missouri and was born with mountains in my blood. After serving in the Army for 38 years as a career Infantry Officer and Civil Servant, my wife Sheila (a local Mountain Girl) and I have found our forever home in the Blue Ridge mountains and I am starting my next mission as a Real Estate Broker. Things to Do #1
Update: (8 July 2023) I did 10 miles yesterday on the lower trails (White and Tan) . Someone did a great job clearing trees after the storm. Thank you.
The mountains are great for outdoor activities. The Jack Rabbit Bike trail is one of my Favorites. Located near Lake Chatuge you can take in the views as you catch your breath.

The annual Hayesville 4th of July parade is small.....but patriotic. My Grandson and I were proud to participate.
